I reckon it's been resprayed and those bits have been masked off instead of them being removed. Then when they peel the masking tape off it leaves an edge. The only way to do it properly is to take off the badges, bump strips and door handles and get it rubbed down and re-laquered, wouldn't have thought it'll need the colour coat redoing. Then again I've never been any good at paintwork, don't have the patience....

Judging by the way the lacquer is peeling off the badges and lights they didn't even bother to do that

Perhaps it's been sprayed with just lacquer because of dull paint, either way the lacquer hasn't stuck properly. Without a full respray your only option is to take badges, lights and trim off as Teamy says, use a plastic scraper to peel off all the loose lacquer, clean it up with T-cut or similar, wash with something volatile (to get rid of T-cut residue) and touch in with lacquer. I don't envy you in the slightest

Doesnt sound too bad, the rear bumper seems to be the worst place, and then the problem also affects the rear right door, it will give me something to do on a quiet day.

Mines the same. Its had a couple of bits resprayed by Stevie Wonder.I had some really bad bubbly lacquer ontop of the rear pass side door.
Ive wetsanded it back, given it a quick layer of rattle can lacquer and polished it up.Looks alot better.
Ive also got alittle tiny bit of peely lacquer like yours on the bottom of the front wing edge near the front bumper.
Cant be arsed to sort that at the moment though!

I am not sure wheather to sort it out now, because the door in question has a few supermarket dings and i dont know wheather to sort out the paintwork before or after the dings are sorted, i might even come across a cheap spares car that i can get a door off.
