There aren't that many Knowledge Base articles, so they're easy to find, but
here it is anyway

Very helpful thanks, i think i will attempt it some day, so its the spring which gives the trouble. The thing is that i bought the new com2000 unit which is a brand new valeo part. Whats the story on the com2000 unit is the original ones that were made by DAV the crap ones that will break, and then did DAV go bust then Valeo took over making these which arent as fragile or is the Valeo one any better, and why is it so damm expensive to change them and so complicated, i remember the good times when i had the 309 and 205 at the same time, the indicator stalks and other bits could be swapped over, and there wasnt even a need to take the wheel off, it just helped

I think we discussed the DAV/Valeo thing before on here (have a search, I'm too lazy

) but basically these wonderful bits of kit are why DAV are DED. Very much all your eggs in one (stupidly expensive) basket but it could be worse, they could be part of the steering column...

PSA probably tried that in the c4 then with its fixed hub steering wheel just to be as ackward as possible ensuring any customers who posess tools cant fix their cars themselves, but on a lighter not what do you think the easiest car to work on is, i done a bit of work on the suzuki there at the weekend, and timed it i had the engine out in 45 mins, the hardest part was the rusty jubilee clips to the pipes thats how easy working with it is.
