After driving my partners st170 then getting inv
to my Sri na estate I noticed how damn big my steering wheel seems.

Are there any options I have? Any steering wheels off other pugs suitable?

The coupe wheel is slightly smaller & a straight swap, but if you're after perfection make sure you get the airbag with it as your airbag will sit slightly out by a mm or so.

really, really, really carefully

Just disconnect the battery first & the airbag won't go off. Need to turn the steering wheel 90 degrees right or left for easier access to the screws securing it though.

Mine's a D8 but as long as you buy the correct one i.e horn on the wheel, or in my case horn on the stalk, all is good

I disconnected the battery and left for half hour to dissipate any energy within the system - some people say 10mins is ok, but when you are hunched over the wheel and disconnecting the airbag, then playing safe wins every time as far as i'm concerned.

As said above, turn the wheel through 90degrees to access one of the torx bolts and undo, then turn back through 180 degrees to access the other bolt
I found it easier if you adjust the steering column to it's longest length to ease access.
These torx bolts stay within the wheel, so no need to keep turning forever
The airbag can now be pulled away from the wheel to allow access to the plug - think it's orange

The steering wheel is held in place by another torx bolt - make sure steering is aligned before removing the wheel.

When refitting, I chose to refit my airbag, as although one was supplied with the wheel, it was piece of mind

Can anyone view this ebay item ( 270631874799 ) & let me know if it is the type with the horn on the airbag, or is it the type with horn on the stalk?????

My wheel now is slightly different and very very worn, hence the new purchase, i think its the facelift version but just need to know if it will fit before i buy it on ebay.

Not personally familiar with a D9 one, although to be fair does look like a D8 one but, If you check the other items they are selling, they are all D8 items - front and rear lights, and bootlid, so would be "reasonable" to assume it is horn on stalk
