I recently bought a 1999 406 glx ,lovely car but I miss the arm rest I had in my old car. What seats do I need to look for as replacements for a more comfortable journey ?
I wiil just change the front and I don;t mind if they are leather or cloth.

What sort of interior do you have at the moment? If you have a D9 (with the honeycomb grill) with the grey & blue interior, I may have what you are looking for as I have just taken this out of my car:

406 armrests are the best in the buisness, executive or SE cars will have them for sure. Executives will be where to go to add a full leather interior.

Are you sure about that? I always found them to be too high and interfered with the gear change. I like the ones on Golfs where you can adjust the height yourself.

That's not a bad idea to be fair. I'll award you one house point for that

I still think they are the best in the buisness, ive found the way there is 2 seperate armrests is a great idea as it gives room in the middle for access to the handbrake and gearstick so its just fine for me in my seat position. Ive been in a golf which didnt have armrests and i dont understand vws trim levels, so dont know where to see armrests in a golf.

I have a D9 I think ,its got the honeycomb grill.
Do you have the passenger seat and does that have an armrest ?
Colour is not a problem as mine are covered with imitation leather ,easier to slide in and out.
How much do you want and where are you ?
Thanks
Ron

I've got both front seats (along with the rear, doorcards & various dash parts). I'm in Andover & make me an offer (if I'm near enough for you) - it's all taking up space at the moment.

Bit of a trek then. Could always try www.shiply.com - just put in collection point of SP105ES & your postcode & see if anyone comes up with a sensible price. It doesn't cost anything to try either. I got quotes of about £40 for a full interior a few months ago.

Thanks for all the info,I decided to buy a centre consol on Ebay for £19.
It does the job really well and was easy to fit.
