seat base

does the seat base unbolt from the front seats? > (D9 front seats,/passenger side)
or do ihave to buy a full seat,
the seat as decided to snap the metal part,
its not weldable ,
any ideas ?

i think the best way would be to source a seat and recover the new seat with your cloth .

iwill take the seat over the weekend and have a nosey at it.
are all the 406 seats weak or is it just my luck ?

Do you mean the slide underneath or the base as in the bit you sit on? You can change the slide but the rest of it is all one bit.
Seems to be an increasingly common occurrence

my original grey interior that my car came with broke in exact same place as that mate ...
my mate did weld it but it didnt last .. thats the main reason i changed to D9 interior

Must be a weak point on them then.
saying that my mate is 23 stone and he rams the seat all the way back when he gets in the car so im gona blame it on him and not peugeots superior build quality

I had mine snap when I had the cloth in
Think it was one of my first posts asking about it
My mate welded it up, and think he sleeved it internally to increase the strength, and it was fine
Was replaced with the leather, but did the job for quite some time

ithink iwill just grab a seat out of a scrapyard next week and swap it all over,
ithink if igot it welded itl just get snapped again,
