ive just Ripped out my Boring Grey cloth interior and Replaced it with black Atlast!. Thank feck its gone,
but thems trims peices are still grey need to get them off and get them painted up ,
also how does the lower dash parts come out, theres pannels on the side that ping off but not much room to get at the screws holding them inplace,
anyideas apreciated thanks,

Mine just pulled off - think I did it by hand.
Watch out for the alarm ultrasonic sensors, (if fitted), you have to wiggle them fairly deftly to get them out of the 'A' pillar trims.

It's been a while now since I changed the dash from grey to black, but it isn't too bad a job to be honest. Can't rightly remember where all the screws are, but the worst problem you will have is the glovebox housing (not the glovebox, but the bit behind it) as 2 of the screws are put in with the heads facing the front of the car & you'll probably end up breaking at least 1 clip to get those out.
Easiest way to do it is to have the replacement parts in front of you so that you can see where to look for the screws on the ones on the car.

ive just been asked if iwill sell it been oferd a good price for it, suprising what a change of interior can make to a car,

Mate I'm fairly sure you can paint the roof lining (If it's the same stuff I think it is) with something like this
http://www.fabricdyes.co.uk/fabric_desi ... id=47#info
You could even do it in the car but I wouldn't recommend it as it might mess up your shiny black interior

On the other hand if you have lots of nylon and masking tape at bay..
Make sure not to breathe that s**t though, it's a lot of trouble!

the a pillar trims are easy taken off, take out the ultrasonic sensor cover, pop out the sensor and put it in the hole, then put your finger into the hole, and pull the pillar slowly from the top into the middle of the car, then lift it up a bit to clear the dash and thats it.
On cars without the sensor, pull the door seal back around this and pry it out.

ahy something like that the lx i broke didnt have them, and it was slightly more difficult to remove them without that hole. but not impossible.
how well does the plastic take the paint? do you need to prepare it in any special way?

They was realy easy to remove,
ijust gripped them at the top corner and give it a yank, it pinged off then ipulled it upwards to get it out the corner of the dash,
painting them went well,
iwiped them over first with Meths to remove anytraces of that Flash dash stuff or simalar,
then Warmed them up a quick blast with the blow torch kept at a distance,
and then just sprayed them,
they look exactly the same colour as the dash
Heat helps paint to stick to them ithink,
if ididnt warm them 1st ithink the paint wouid of reacted
