I've just got hold of a new estate rear blind but having never seen one on a car i'm not sure how it fits,i see on service box i will need a couple of brackets and i assume i will have to cut the tailgate intrerior panel. If anyone out there has a 7 seater with a blind fitted can you if possible give me approx dimensions for the cut i will have to make,i assume it is a slot but i'm unsure of the positioning from the rear screen the slot should be.

If I get time this week I may be able to sort you out some measurements, but if you want you could always pop down here sometime & have a proper look to compare the 2 - you know I'm not too far away anyway.

Cheers for that,it's really the measurement from the back edge of the trim (nearest the window),the length of the slot i can probably work out from the blind i have and as long as i get the cut central widthways in the trim it should be o.k.,cutting it will be the problem i think.I'm in no real hurry as i'm away this weekend anyway.

Cheers for the reply,i fitted the blind at the weekend,i had to guess the distance from the window and then cut a 12mm wide slot along the top of the cover panel to the length of the blind (not easy!),looks fine now it's finished and just waiting for the hooks that fir to the top edge of the tailgate as they are on back order from Peugeot.

Do you have to cut the holes in the metal for the tailgate hooks?... Dont look easy if you do but sounds like a good job done so far.

Not sure how the hooks fit but there are some mounting points already pressed into the tailgate metal so i would assume they clip in somehow,i've just made two cable tie loops at the moment for the blind to latch on to.

Exactly what i would do

mine has plastic fittings that probably snap in then you lift the blind and latch it to those.
