Sunroof leak

Washing my car today, I noticed that my sunroof was leaking. I never noticed the leak before as it never entered the cabin. Is it supposed to leak and it drains away somewhere or....? If not, where can I get the new rubber seal around sun glass (other than the dealers)?

idont know where they are on the 406s tho,

Net curtain wire is the best thing ive found for clearing them out on other cars ive had

Drains? I can see the water dripping onto the sunroof rails - are they simply drained away, in which case this is "normal" for it to leak?

I think the drains are at the front corners and run down through the pillars.
Not certain tho but i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong

They are. - pull off the A pillar trims & you can see them, pull the tube out at the bottom, remove the the end section & clean it out.

I think busman, (or somebody), did a Howto. It was easy! (I managed it).

Thanks everyone, I'll check the drains... but... is the sunroof supposed to be leaking in the first place (i.e. between the rubber bit around the glass and the metal bit of the roof)?

You'll never get a 100% water seal around the glass - that's why you have the drains to catch the bit of water that gets past the seal.

Ahhh gotcha. Well, that makes me feel more at ease then. Never had any water in the cabin so I guess it's all working as it should. Need to check the drains anyway for a rainy day!
