I've seen them fitted to a coupe, they're screwed into the little hole (or cupholder) behind the handbrake. I've sure I remember them being about £35 from Peugeot.

My last was a Laguna. The exec's armrests are WAY superior! :)

oof, didn't realise they were that much. I wouldn't buy it for that cost, it's not that good to be honest. I doubt you'll find a second hand one, as you say.
I used to have armrests on my old GLX, and now don't have them on the coupe. I missed them initally, but soon forgot about them.

When I had a fixed one in a hired Mondeo, I just found it was getting in the way pulling the handbrake up. That was the beauty of the 406 seat mounted ones, you could just put them up out of the way.

the ones in my mk 2 laguna were really good as they they were situated behind the handbrake and were really comfy as they were just at the right height to lean on!!!!!! but i shouldnt be singing the praises of that other french manufacturer on here should i ?!!!!!!!!!!!

The 406 armrests inhibit your gearchange and handbrake use, they should have been adjustable :|

Mind you, my armrests are in the 'down' position every day.....but I am a lazy git and drive around like I'm in a comfy armchair, which I am really :? a comfy armchair with 4 wheels

I love the armrests, don't find they get in the way of the gear change and I've got used to reaching down in between them to get to the handbrake. The Mrs can't drive my car with the driver's one down though, she's so far forward that it really does get in the way.

I only find I have trouble getting to the handbrake when the passenger rest is down, and it never seems to affect me grabbing the gearstick. Mind you I don't think I've actually ever raised the driver side armrest since getting the car... :)

I think the ones on ebay are just direct replacements for those cars with captains seats.
