Trip computer remote controller?

Post by jonny81191 »

Just a quick question, does the trip computer (and possibly satnav? it says GPS..) have a remote control, all I can discover is how to reset the MPG calculator off the wiper stalk.

Hi mate, if your MFD has a buttoon either side then it is a non-satnav, the Satnav ones have a kinda infra-red receiver on the right hand side and yes, a remote is needed to change time/date and use the satnav function

Cheers, it has the IR sensor and no buttons. Can I program a new remote to it with PP2k I wonder? It'd be nice to have it all working.

Any remote will work without coding - either borrow one or they're about £20-30 on eBay :)

Its a universal remote that fits all 406s. I just checked eBay where there are normally loads so you can see a picture of one - but there are non..!!

Maybe ask ade1122 on ebay / 406 coupe club, see if he has one. I don't think they ever go wrong so a second hand one is fine.
