No, sorry.

My executive donor obviously has a different loom to your car and my GLX.

Scroll down to 'upload attachment' and browse for the picture, upload it and then insert it into the reply box.

I don't really want to state the obvious, but have you tried to power to the brown plug with the engine running......

My donor exec has an extra piece of loom towards the back of the engine fusebox in the first picture, but my GLX is identical to yours i.e.no extra loom or relays. I haven't got mine working yet but I'll look at the BSI in daylight to see what spaces are there.

Yeah, the lights in my switches did that, it's a different circuit so it's meaningless.

I did try, can the heater elements be hardwired ie live feed from battery to the brown plug?

I asked Mark W the same question a while ago, and here is his reply..

'As regards the engine running relay, if you can't get one installed, just opt for the slightly less elegant solution of having the heaters fed from an ignition controlled supply. The elements consume about 4A each and the idea of having them controlled by an engine running relay is to prevent them being on with engine off (obviously!(sic)).

Put them on an ignition feed instead....you're hardly likely to sit in the car with just the ignition on and the heaters switched on.....
You can switch the individual heater loads directly with the seat heater switches, no relay needed there. That's what they do anyway (switch the full load), it's just the engine running relay that supplies them.'

Does this help?

Could you use something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/30-AMP-SELF-S ... 23396a2978 , It will only give power when the engine and charging is running and cut out when the engine stops.
