Shakin' rear view miror
Does anyone have a rear view mirror (auto-dimming in my case) that gets the shakes depending on the road surface? It makes looking at things in the mirror very difficult - double vision experience? and, well, just downright annoying!
The mirror itself is being gripped correctly because there's a decent amount of resistance to it moving freely when trying to adjust it.
Anyone got any novel ideas?

Yep, I get the same thing. Only notice it occasionally. Probably just after the missus has driven the car and moved it (shich she insists on doing to drive the car even a few hundred yards).

Shakes
I just retro fitted a auto dimming mirror and have noticed it shakes at certain speeds, my old manual version didn't shake so I guess it must be the additional weight of the mirror which makes it shake.

I've recently worked out that mine shakes on days when the car has been parked with the fron facing the sun, so it's only when it's hot.
I can't be sure on whether it gets better as I'm driving, or I stop checking my mirror after 5 minutes!

I noted that problem, but the solution is to take it off and put in some thick grease, soldering paste, vaseline or so on, and put it round the ball part of the mirror, clip the mirror on and it seems to stop the vibrations which were quite annoying

There's some absolutely horrific topic necromancy going on here
That's a three-year-old topic you've brought back from the dead!

Yes, it is generally accepted that digging up old posts is a no no unless you are adding to something which you created yourself and would like to update etc..
Please bear this in mind, or create a new topic if you have something important you want to share.
Thanks,

Can't see the problem myself, why create a new thread when one exists?
