Bootlid lining is in

Post by Blue406 »

What a lovely clunk the lid now makes when closing, before it was a rattly vibrating metallic sound.
And it realy does dampen sound duing cruise! Looks good too.

And since I know you'll all want pics:

The observant among you may notice an itty bitty dfference to my car, save for the bootlid lining.

Looks a whole lot better now! I'm shocked at how small the saloon boot seems though, compared to my estate :)

Looks can be decieving.
I can get luggage for 5 people for a 2 week holiday in that boot. For a Saloon, its cavernous!

Well done for noticing.

They silver strips were looking tatty. So I took em off and I'm now looking for a suitable replacement.
Halfraud now sell cheap japanese site that doesn't stick properly.

I need beading that comes with foam backed 3M adhesive, like the original stuff. My local independant store is looking for me.

Trust me, the photo doesn't do it justice. The boot on the 406 is huge.

In figures, the coupe boot is supposed to be slightly bigger. I don't think it is though.

And Blue406, I still can't find the other difference between the photos. Only that you've moved something on the left hand side of the boot.

Sorry Neil, should have been more clear in my previous reply.

Benner spotted the difference between those photos and what my car usualy looks like. The silver stripes on the rear lenses are missing.
