:arrowu: I was watching 'Wrecks to Riches' last night and Dominic Littlewood said "you can forget fancy Silicone products for your exterior trim, what you need is 'Peanatt Battahh', not that 'Natty' one but the 'smoove' one. It's natural oils will pentrate the plastic trim and last far longer than Silicone" sure enough it did come up well.

So, like, who's going to try this (and risk having all the local dogs licking your bumpers) and who else knows of any other household product tricks for your car?

I think I read here that baby wipes and nappy cream is good for leather seats.

I use baby wipes for the leather, but not nappy cream. :?

Vinegar and newspaper is supposed to make your glass sparkle, but I've never tried it....

newspaper works brilliant on glass :P :P
just wash your windows, inside or out and while its still wet polish with the newspaper and it gleams no smudges at all 8) 8)
also and i know this sounds minging but it doesnt need to be fresh water you get the same result if you use the same water that you've just finished washing the car in

dunno about the peanut butter tho

I've always used newspaper and vinegar in water on the house windows. Gives a great shine. Have done it on the cars before now, but it's not worth it lately until we get more than 3 hours without rain.
