Leather interior upgrade with a twist...

Got up at 4:30 today to drive 180 miles to Birmingham to pick up a cream leather interior for my 2001 GTX, saw the pics on ebay, ribbed seats from a mk2 which i have been after for ages, came from a 99 plate car, when i got there i found out the rear seats had the fitments for a D8 with the push button release, the guy said he had them in his car before it was written off, didn't have them secured "But they never fell down".....

I'm guessing the seats came from a D8.5 but i didn't realise they used new seat looks with the old fitments. :o

I fitted the rears seats in fine without any issue apart from not locking in with the intention going to the scrappy next weekend and seeing if i could get anything to make either type of catch work. Decided to have a closer look and as the seats were same size and fitment i thought i would try to swap the upholstry, so far worked fine on the small part of the rear seat, just looks like i have a handle to pull down the seats now from the D8/8.5 release buttons! AlsoPeugeot in their infinite wisdom changed the length of the plastic post in the top of the seat where the head rest slides into, on the D9 they are about an inch shorter even though the headrest bars are identical length, the ones with the leather were cream, but the surrounds on my old cream velour were black, quick trip into the garage for a hacksaw and it all fit and looks fine.

Now just to swap over the big part, and then onto the front seats.....
