Unscented plain wet wipes from asda or tesco are very good for muddy footmarks and general cleaning of interior before using glossy silicon stuff I should worry about the drunken scrotes getting slippery hands?

How would one go about removing dried, heavily-trodden in chocolate from the footwell carpet? And, for that matter, dog-sick marks on the back seats?

And finally, how would one stop the missus from re-chocolating the motor once it's clean?

Get the wife to clean it up, she'd be more careful with the chocolate if she knows she'll be the one cleaning it up again too

I 've tried loads of different products over the years and have never really been completely satisfied. Some are too shiny, some too greasy.......

Autosmart's G101 was recommended by a friend as a non acidic method for cleaning the alloys, however once i had bought it it is actually a general purpose cleaner. I use it at a 5:1 dilution ratio for the alloys but 10:1 for cleaning the interior (dash, upholstery, carpets etc) I also use it for leaning up my suede Cat boots!!

It's cracking stuff as it removes all silicon residue and leaves the dash nice and matt (Welly) - i then usually give it a lick with Mr Sheen or something similar.

Here's the clicky linky thing to a really useful forum, some parts are a touch OCD but you have to admire the work some of the guys put in!! This one mentions G101 as an interior cleaner but it can be used for much more.

Don't buy the G101 off ebay as it's far too dear - look on the forum above to see if you have an Autosmart distributor near to you and you will get it at a reasonable price. They have great products and the guys who sell them know their stuff!

As for tyre dressing on dashes,I would'nt recommend it.A/its probably abit greasy and will attract dust B/ probably end up looking way too glossy and reflect in your windows.
Personally I use a microfibre cloth damped in warm water wiped over and another to dry.
