Parcel shelf reverb :(

Hey all,

Sorry if this is the wrong section!!

Its only recently started happening and its an intermittent problem as well, but my parcel shelf vibrates like a bitch.

It seems to do it when you either rev the engine above around 2000 rpm or the radio has even the slightest amount of bass.

Does anyone have any idea's on why this has started happening and if there is anyway to resolve it?

Cheers

Gav

Probably a loose screw or stud. You could always take it out and put something soft under it like foam tape etc

I had this annoying little problem with my last D8 and had to periodicly tighten down the speaker cages to stop the racket.

Give it a try, it worked for me

I've tried that, no go unfortunately...

I'll try your suggestion MJB!

Thanks everyone

Hi mate,
i had exactly the same probem. There's a little plastic prop holding the niddle of your parcel shelf up. There's supposed to be some felt type material on the bottom of it to stop the hard plastic reverberating against the metal, but this had came off. I stuck a small bit of sticky velcro (the soft side) down. I stuck it to the metal and not the plastic to stop it happening again.

Jobe done.

Good luck.
