Seat Fitting

Post by lordmpl »

Hi All,

I have just aquired a 406 sri turbo on a 1998 plate and the previous owner had a dog which has chewed up the rear seats inc the foam, i am going to check ebay and the local breaker yards for a new set.

My question is do all 406 seats fit, i ask as i know the model shape changed 1999, so bo both series seats fit, and are there any other cars that might fit in there, i obviously am after the complete matching set fron rear and door panels.

Thanks, Mark
Once again I have a project... The wife says if I dont stop spending money on my cars she's off... Shame i'll miss her....

Hi there. The rears are different on the saloon, they can't be made to fit but it looks a bit of a pain.

Yes, I've done it. But you'll need to drill out the existing door brackets and fit the ones from the D9. Quite straightforward and the correct holes are already present.

Those door cards, what car did you get them from? I thought exec models had all electric windows, but your D8 (like my D9) has manual-wind rear windows and electric fronts, so I'm guessing this leather interior didn't come from a D9 exec.

I want to replace my D9's cloth interior with a black leather interior, just like yours, but I'm afraid as always of getting the wrong parts.

They were both electric. I had to modify the rear cards by drilling a hole for the manual winder handle and replace the handles from the D8 card. No unsightly switch then :D
