Sun blind fixings

Trying to get on top of a few jobs my car has got, and one of them is the rear sun blind (saloon)

Ever since i've had it, one of the clips has been broken, so today, took the opportunity as was in the stealers to try and purchase the clip to repair it

As per usual, i.e. wanted some bleed nipples monday, and was told i've have to buy 2 calipers  , the answer today, was i'd have to buy the whole blind at £40 odd plus vat

I've made do for quite some time, so a new blind is out of the question, but would like to sort it regardless, so has anyone repaired theirs with some other part, and if so what?

Thanks 8)

My sunblind mechanism self destructed and fell in a heap on the back shelf  mind you I had left it up for 2 years :)

£40.00 doesn't sound bad if you end up with a shiney new blind. Other than that try the scrappies? or Yeomans peugeot on-line shop?

Read on an australian forum whilst searching for answer to this question, that someone simply bought a couple of small hooks from a diy shop and made them fit.
Got nothing to lose, so think i'll give this a try

^ Yeah. I got a replacement rail that goes along the top for about $3 from my local U Pull It/Pick a Part :cheesy:

Made a bit of a mess of the end trying to get the cap thing off with sidecutters though

Does anyone know if the plastic clips are available separately? I finally got around to putting the non-broken rail on, but it's curved and mine's straight so it doesn't work properly.

This doesn't look promising:

i dont know if you can just get the clips, but on ebay type peugeot 406 breaking, and i think youll see the odd executive there, ask the seller how much for the rear parcel shelf, or blinds and you should get it much cheaper than £50
