Which look better?
These, Wheel 'A':
Or These, Wheel 'B':

Based on looks alone, wheel B. Tyres look painful though.

It's hard to judge aesthetics in these cicumstances - have you got any pics without a Volvo to spoil the view?
Seriously though, I prefer 'A'

I'd go with Doggy and tick the 'A' box, simpler design always looks better IMO, look easier to clean and buff out any scuffs as well.

I'm running on Wheels 'B' at the moment but they need new Tyres and refurbing.....at the same time someone on the Volvo Forum has a set of 2011 Wheels 'A' + Conti tyres for sale for around about the same Dollar so I was wondering what to do

All I can see is Volvo.
I'm going for 'A' too, but of course it's really down to personal preference. I find the ones with lots of spokes to be a bit fussy.
It doesn't help that 'B' looks like it's on stilts at the back.

Basically what they said

I'd go for A too 'cos the look easier to clean, stronger and have higher profile tyres. What's the difference between the two and do you have no fillings left in your head?
You could also sell you present rims "in need of refurbishment"...

Mmm, my wheels are a sh*t to clean (had to buy a special ickle brushy thing) and one of them has a tiny bucklerisation
I'd almost keep the old wheels, rattle can 'em darker and get some winter tyres on them as spares but 17" winter tyres? costly? not awailable? dunno - most seem to slap on a set of 16" steelies for the winter
Might PM the seller but he's asking £650.00 for a set of 4 Wheel 'A' with partly-worn Contimental tyres

I like B, but I'd probably choose A cos they're easier to clean....

That seems a bit steep to me, if they were brand new tyres that'd be ok but "partly-worn" could mean just about anything, they could also be hideously old.
What are your tyres like? Perhaps if you do the steelies & winter tyres thing you could sort the wheels out while they're off, maybe even get the tyres either taken off (if they're bad enough) or just the bead broken on the outside of the car so you can get to the edge and as you say rattle can them.
While I'm thinking about it, there was a thread about getting alloys refurbished on the Toyota forum (the original wheels are awful for corrosion

) and they're are people that come out in a van to do it at your house, opinions seem varied on whether they're any good or not...
And finally, guess who needs to buy another set of wheels for his Toyota

I can't keep having tyres put on and taken off because it'll destroy them. Turns out it's cheaper for me to get brand new alloys in Slovenia than 2nd hand steelies here

- Possibly
