Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Hi,
My 1998 d8 coupes climate control unit no longer works. I have checked the fuses but they seem ok. I am trying to find a wiring diagram to check if there is power going to it. If not I need to trace back and find out why. So can anyone help with the wiring diagram or any advice please? It is freezing now and I have no heater
Thx
Gareth

Hi Gareth and welcome aboard.
No personal experience of D8 climate control unfortunatley, but there are a couple of guys on here who may be able to help.
Not trying to discourage you using our forum, but have you tried the coupe forum too?

Hi,
yes I have been there and still trying to get the diagrams. But I do
believe that the Climate Control Unit would be the same for the 406 model of the same age. SO I thought I would pick your brains too
Thx,
Gareth

Hi there
The trouble is D8 wiring diagrams are rather thin on the ground, the only ones I know of are Haynes and I wouldn't trust them at all.
So the panel is completely dead, no display, no lights, nada?

Hi Steve,
Yup nothing going on with the display. The button do light up when the lights are turned on but that is a different circuit. Oh for the pain it is causing

Hi Lozz,
Those wiring numbers look familiar as I wrote them all down and they begin with 8xxx. Do you have more of that diagram or a link to the web page so I can find it?
Thanks,
Gareth
