oil warning light

Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and am after some advice,i have recently bought a 2002 hdi 110 Rapier estate,when i turn the ignition on the dash warning lights come on except the oil pressure light(oil can symbol),went to check the bulb in the dash but found them to be led's,doh!,i've changed the oil pressure switch on the engine but still no joy,should it light up with the ignition on or only come on when there is a fault? Also the seat belt warning light does'nt work either and also the fuel gauge is'nt very accurate are all these problems typical with a 406,any help greatly appreciated.

Hello & wecome to the club

HDi's don't have an oil pressure warning light - I know it's confusing, I've asked the same question myself. I believe it works on the petrol models, but it's one of the faults that will bring up the big STOP light, (& probably a message on the MFD).

Cheers for that,the handbook was a bit confusing as it says that the other warning lights come on when the ignition is on but is vague about the oil pressure light,why don't they tell you it does'nt,i was up for getting another dash cluster thinking it was that that was at fault.As you have an hdi when should the seatbelt warning light come on? I have driven down the road with the belt off and nothing happened,it's not important i know but i like everything that should work to work.Another little niggle is that when the auto wipers are on the display says "auto wipers active" every 10 secs or so which becomes very annoying after a while.
