What does this button do

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

eject what a good use of a blank button, if it actually bumped the seat up an inch when pressed it would still be the ultimate button in the car

So if i want to get a switch that acts as a push to make either momentary or latched i dont mind, is there any that would fit here without looking odd, ie is there any good ebay listings for a switch that will fit snug in here

If you got another heated seat switch, then removed the image, then you'd have a spare switch

But depends on whether these have switch covers on them

On my D8, the blank next to the MFD is in 2 pieces, a back part and a cover.
Thus I was able to take the cover off and use a spare hazard warning switch to create a switch I can use in the future, but doesn't have an image on it.

Therefore if the heated seat switches are the same, a switch part and a cover, and the blank one is the same, then get a spare heated seat switch, and swap for a blank cover, and voila, a working switch without an image you don't want

thats a fantastic idea, because i want this button to act as the right button on the d9's mfd when i put the se kit in, and i suppose i could disect a heated switch button if i get it and get it so it doesnt latch.
