Hi there,
This morning when I went to my car (D8), the central locking seemed to have a big delay from me turning to key to actually unlocking. There was a bit of a whirring noise, as if the solenoids were pulling/pushing the mechanism, then a few seconds later the doors unlocked. Stepping into the car, it took 2 rather long attempts to get the engine to fire up. Then, I noticed the interior lights were flashing rapidly, before fading to off a little while later. I googled the flashing lights as I feel it may be a diagnostic message, but nothing came up.
My first thought is the battery needs replacing - but does anyone have any better ideas?

Does sound like battery, on a side note check the voltage across it when you've got the engine running.

Hello
I've got the same problem intermittently. I thought that the flashing interior lights said a door wasn't shut (even though it was)
I've also got electric mirrors that sometimes home themselves on the ignition, or, sometimes not, or, sometimes go awol.
Have you sorted your flashing lights problem?
