hello,
I noticed last night the dash on my D8 was no longer illuminated, nor was the centre console. The only illumination came on the speedo, which I think was just glow from the odomoeter bulb. I looked at the list of fuses and made a note to check 17 and 28, but both were intact. I noticed 19 was blown though, and replaced it. However, it's too bright to check if it's working - but I'd like to know before it gets dark. 19 is listed as "19 - 5A - Passenger compartment switch illumination, fascia illumination". Is Fascia illumination possibly the right thing?

Re: D8 dash light gone
I removed the clock trim surround (torx bit at top ) a struggle easing it out (you have to loosen the steering wheel shroud and drop the steering wheel down low , once thats out ( includes the air vents ) remove torx screws holding clocks and gently pull the top forward till the back is revealed allowing access to bulbs (twist to remove ) I bought a load of replacements from the stealers ( i was charged £2 a bulb )and now my display is much better. Dont think mine had bulbs replaced for years ) the clock in mine (1997 D8 ) bulbs ( 2 No. ) are different to fascia bulbs .
