Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

how did you join the underseat wires?, and to get the airbag pad in the wheel out stick a screwdriver in the small hole on the bottom of the wheel to release a metal clip holding it in but the underseat wires was the issue in my car as i wired them up wrongly, also do all with the battery out you dont want to get hit by an airbag.

there is a guide on how to change them, but i just brought mine to a mechanic and had it fitted for £25, it can cause the airbag light, but you can also get a fault code read into the car to see what the problem is, sometimes it can be turned off there and then if its not permanent, if it is permanent (the fault) then the codes might help to find out what to do.

The ecu went on my D8, everyone reckoned it'd be the clock spring behind the steering wheel but I took it in to Pug (as you would before the 406oc came into existence), they tried a new ecu and everything was fine.
