Reg plate lights wont work

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

had the same issue on my D8 when I bought it. Cleaned the contacts of the bulb holders and tensioned the pins of them, contacts and worked for me. It could be the connection to the plate harness, originates/connects from the passenger side rear light cluster.

Oh look, there's another one of those NFP things (No Further Provision?), there's more and more of those for both D8 & 9 every time I look :(

you could put a switch over the numberplate light, perhaps it would stop speed cameras seeing it

Sadly in the UK you have to have reflective plates and the cameras flash, bad combo :( here however they are all forward facing cameras and my front plate (apart from being an Uk plated car) is made of non reflective plastic and permanently covered in mud

I lost my old one in a water pit off roading and was buggered if i was going in for it so the wife had one made up for me at her work place (a printers) on plain white plastic board, hell i even carry a spare now in the boot

i wonder if i got a ticket they would bother sending it to my old address in the uk? i reckon not, its just a shame the disco doesnt go fast enough to get tickets
