Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

cheers mate,
theres no power from the Grey wire so itake it ..the feed out from ign barrel is not there,
couidnt get cowling off so ive run a Temp wire from battery to the red wire above the Grey wire on the motor and it fired up..ithought id have to add a seprate (bodge) temp switch but control is working on all speeds,

just gotta work out how to run the wire properly thru the bulk head now as icarnt see any plastic bungs to route the wire throu :frown:

thanks to all for the advice much apreciated

hi mate,
check the grey wire that goes into the redwire on the plug for the fan, theres 2 sets of plugs

if no power coming from the greywire the problem will be ign switch,

ijust ran a perm live to the red wire that goes into the greywire on the plug for the fan and alls well for now (temp/fix only tho )

there shouid only be one grey wire on the ign switch ishouid think

icouidnt get the cowling off mine as idont have a torx/allan key that d reach :|

no probs mate,
if you look up on the passenger side youl see a padded cover ..remove the 3 plastic plug/clips pull the padding thingy out the way
and then youl see 2 sets of electrical plugs clipped too the fan blower,

ignore the one with the green wires look at the other one and youl see Red black and red going into grey wire its the grey wire you need to check to see its getting a feed

hope that makes sense
