I was coming back from a Grimsby Town match last night in York .We lost 1-0 total crap but thats by the by.
I had a guy behind me in an old Megane Coupe with really really bright blue-white lights and they where badly adjusted,I think they were a crap HID kit.I pulled over to let him past.

That's the right thing to do, well done.

Re: headlight bulbs
i had some dickhead one night, followed behind me in my clio with full beams and fogs on, i pulled in and he reluctantly passed, i then drove behind him with my full beams and fogs on, for a whole 2 seconds until i had to turn in for my road. Now on my car if i get a tailgater, i have the rear blind up, the mirror does that dimming thing and i fold the electric ones, let the bastid tailgate me all they want because it doesnt bother me anymore.
Re: headlight bulbs
lol I always fancied putting one of those flasihing amber lights off a wide load lorry on the car roof at the back for such occasions but its probably illegal

Not surprised. I treat anyone with one of those signs in complete contempt. Suggesting that they're somehow more important than any other road user, that everyone should be nice to them because they might have once had a kid (very rarely even see even baby/kiddie seats in the cars)? Bugger that! One of those signs *guarantees* ill will from me.kevtherev wrote:in a word ....noFarmerPug wrote:does the 'baby on board sign' work?
Same with 'P' plates. It's well known that people are much more aggressive towards people driving with them on, and damn right. If you ain't confident enough to drive a car (and the P plate shows you're not), then you shouldn't be on the sodding road, let alone blocking my way with your pootling along at 25mph in a 50... I WILL overtake you as soon as I can, and probably scare the bejesus out of you because I'll come past at speed making a lot of V6 noise, and leave what I consider to be a safe distance between me and you, which you will probably think is suicidally close and stamp on your brakes over... ARGH! They boil my blood!
I'm fine with learners though, and if I need to overtake them I'll do it as cleanly as possible and leave bags of room before pulling in, as if they were on horseback...
PS. I'm referencing nobody in particular with the above - all the "you"s are referring to generic 'P' plate drivers...
