just noticed couple o threads about mot fails & indicator bulbs etc
think my one of my indicator bulbs might be clear but before i check can anyone tell me if they're supposed to be red/orange etc?
think my reflector inside the unit is the only thing thats making them look a white/orange colour.dyin to know now

should've just had a look 1st. my left bulbs' orange coating has rubbed off,and thats whats making the top half look whitish.away to buy another.sorry for the pointless post in the end

ye the orange peels off after time. just replace them.

my car failed its mot last week because the indicator bulb wasn't amber enough!

On the earlier D8 406s where the side repeater is in the black trim the cover is orange so there is no problem.
In the later D9 406s the side repeater moved upwards. The cover is clear and thus it requires an orange bulb.
My last MOT failed because the side repeater wasn't orange enough.
