Have a 2000 (w reg) estate. The front passenger electric window is not working when trying to open it using either the drivers door switch or passenger door switch. Have had the door panel off & put hand on the motor & when i moved the switch to open the window could feel a click from the motor but no action. Any ideas as to the problem or is it just a simple case of a new motor.
Regards Shaun.

Re: Front passenger window
well from what you say the motors getting power so its the motor at fault, give it a tap to see if it frees
Re: Front passenger window
check for a broken wire in the door loom,
just pull the rubber cover back no need to take any door cards off etc,
clicking normaly is caused by a broken /chaffed wire

Re: Front passenger window
the motor in the front windows is held onto the regulator which i prefer to call the cog box with 4 screws. undo the screws pull the motor back a centimetre, get your fingers in round the front of it then turn it out. Now connect up the power and see if its spinning freely.
Re: Front passenger window
I have recently had the same problem with the front pass window, the motor was getting warm but not working so i knew it was getting power. only today i loosened the screws on the motor and gave it a few taps with the screw driver and did the screws back up and bingo it worked again. It would seem that the cog on the motor and the cog on the regulator can slip and jam the mechanism. You can fix anything with gaffer tape and a hammer lol.
