electric window problem
hi, i have a peugeot 406 2.0hdi 2000 model, i have the usual front pass window problem however i have tried 2 diff switches and no change, the window will not operate. I can hear the usual click coming from the motor so removed the door panel, the window motor or solenoid was quite warm so i assume that power is getting to the motor. My question is does this mean the motor has gone as apossed to the common switch problem? How easy is it to replace? Also as my window is stuck in the closed position is there a way of winding the mechanism down to remove it? manual overide? Thanks in advance.
Re: electric window problem
Hi mate,
Before Condeming the window motor Check the wiring Between the door and the Pillar pull back the rubber cover and see if theres any Chaffed or broken wires ,
its worth a a Look

Re: electric window problem
Thanks, well while checking the wires i decided to loosen off the motor from the regulator and give it a whack lol, then tightend it back up, amazingly this worked. I think the cogs on the motor and the regtlator must of jammed each other up, fingers crossed it will keep working.
