$06 (2000) wiring diagram

Post by BYoung »

My fan/air con won't work and I believe I need to obtain a wiring diagram in order to trace the wires back.

Can anyone tell me how I can obtain one at a reasonble price?

hi & welcome in.

if you have a d9 facelift model it might be a fault on the ignition barrel or the resistor pack which is located behind the the front of the centre console area,

d9 models are the ones with the honeycomb front grille

It's interesting you should mention the ignition. Last October the plastic housing for the ignition overheated and fused so the key would not turn. A locksmith replaced it in the first instance with one from a scrapyard as the dealer part would have taken over a week to arrive and I needed the car ASAP (plus the dealer part would have cost and arm and a leg!). However the same issue arose again in March and the dealer again replaced the plastic electronic switch - he said it was highly unusual to be this unlucky.

He didn't think the two incidents were related. However, I'm still not convinced as when they fixed it the first time, the fan stopped working but slowly started working over the next few months. As soon as they fixed it the second time, the fan stopped working again. It's still not working. We also had a short spell of a few weeks in August September of the left indicator suddenly springing into action but whenever I took it to the garage, it would work perfectly.

I'll take a look at the grille tomorrow in daylight. Thanks for the info.
