Hi
I am trying to add a second remote key to my car.
I have obtained a new board (Matching p/n 73373067B frequency and Motorola chip to the original, (i did get a phillips chipped one to start with that didnt work) ) and put it in a new housing with the transponder and blade from the cars original 'dumb' key.
Numerous atempts at programming the remote to the car using PP2000 have failed. I have managed to make it forget the original remote and re program it again but it will not learn the new remote as the single or adititional remote.
I do not have a RF tester to hand to validate that the chip is transmitting but the new board came from a 'key repairer' on ebay so i would hope it was tested before dispatch. (have tried using both new and old keys to generate interferance on mobile and stero with no luck)
Has anyone got any experiance of doing this before, or hints / tips i can try.
Thanks
Ben

Re: Remote Key Programming
I've only ever used PP2000 to get mine to 're-learn' its own key.
Do you know anyone else with a pug of similar age? - you could see if their car can be persaude to see either / both of your keys
