Can the fuel pump/ECU relay intermittently die?
Is it possible for the double relay which sits next to the ECU,which powers the fuel pump and ECU, to fail momentarily, causing the engine to suddenly die,or try to die.?

Not had it on the pug, but had similar on a poxhall years back which was the fuel pump relay playing up
Seal on it had cracked and was allowing moisture inside and causing corrosion
