Hi there, 1st timer here
I recently purchased 406 HDi 2.2 executive estate car and noticed after a typical british downpour there was water left in the footwell. I found the cause to be a blockage in the sunroof drain hose.
The problem I have now is that having taken up the carpet in drivers footwell there is a 10 way blue connector with 7 wires on each side, unfortunately 2 of these wires had broken off.
I joined the other wires together but not sure where the other 2 wires were connected to. One side of the connector has beige wire labeled 8604 and grey wire, other side has beige wire labeled 8601 and white wire. Anyone know what the 7 wires on this connector are used for. I would be most grateful for any help with this problem.
I have issues with some electrics not working at the moment so hopefully repairing this will solve some of them.

The schematics I have access to (http://www.petrila.net/pug/Service/index.htm ) don't go into enough detail (anyone got Sedra working?) but 86 seems to be to do with the alarm.
The connector is IC11B 10V BE, 8601 "should" go to 8601 and 8604 "should" go to Z8604 (and when I say "should" I mean probably doesn't )
Ok, not much use but hopefully a start. What electrical problems do you have? I can't tell you what's in the connector but I do know there's all sorts of stuff including multiplex down there, which can give some rather entertaining problems
Thanks for the info guys, all the wiring now connected.
As this connection is indeed for the alarm I can't confirm all is ok at the moment due to the remote central locking not working and also the central locking does'nt work if I manually lock the doors sigh
I have tried resetting the BSI and reprograming both keys (new batteries fitted).
I'll check out the forum for more help on this.

For the keys you need your 4 digit alphanumeric security code to access the BSI [i charge forum members £1 via paypal gift for this, dealers is £25-45].
The key needs to be coded to the car before it can be sync'd.
I'm Manchester way this weekend which isn't too far from Blackpool. I only have the 16pin and 2 pin connector tho, as some f*cker stole my other one along with my ECU flasher at a car show

There are a few people on that forum who pay for subscriptions from me
Peugeot, Citroen, Kia and Hyundai are instant. Chrysler and Dodge take a couple of hours
