Re: PP2000 Won't let me in into Engine Ecu
i have tested with the pp2000 on my laptop .. and it just happens the same thing ... i can't get into the engine ECU, the AIR BAG ecu, ABS ecu , and i can't programme the display .. so basically this clone thing is bull ...
Farmerpug the problem is not the BSI, BSI is fine, i could programme the trip computer ...the thing is the engine ECU .. well i'll give my last try to the DiagBox programme from peugeot .. if this don't work either .. i'll just give up and go to peugeot ...

Re: PP2000 Won't let me in into Engine Ecu
It's not mine, my mechanic borrowed it to me ...FarmerPug wrote:contact the seller you got it off
so the problem here is really the interface ?
When i select diesel in the motors menu the interface on the application goes from green to red ... maybe this has nothing to do but well...
Thank you for your help so far . much appreciated

Re: PP2000 Won't let me in into Engine Ecu
So, Wednesday i went into another garage, and he connected he's pp2000 interface and guess what ? He's interface could not read the engine ecu too but this one shows that the reference is unknown ... but the AIR BAG and ABS worked aside from my interface ... but even in test by calc, could not enter ...
Any guesses ?

Re: PP2000 Won't let me in into Engine Ecu
Mine has worked with at least 5 different EDC15C2 ecu's and so far, I've not found one it doesn't work with. (It's also OK on XUD's & a 1.4 petrol 206 - that's all I've tried).
Earlier in the week, I was looking at a 2.2 HDi coupe, where the owner was having trouble getting a Galletto to talk to the engine ecu. My Galletto worked OK on his car initially, but then refused to work anymore. My Planet clone worked consitently with all the ecu's we tried, including clearing the engine ecu faults several times......
I don't know what all this tells us, perhaps that some aspect of compatibility is borderline in some cases. This coupe didn't like talking to ecu flash programmers and it sounds like RayneR's car doesn't like diagnostic systems.

It kind of sounds like we're back to "some PP2k clones work, some don't, but there's no way of telling 'til you've bought it and hooked it up to your motor"

Re: PP2000 Won't let me in into Engine Ecu
Well, for the record, with a generic diagnostic tool my engine ecu responds 100%, so to conclude it's the clone fault... i tried the clone in every different way ...installing the new pp2000 using the old one, i even used the new diagbox programme and still nothing, and by the way a friend if mine have the same car as me and the same clone can't work with he's car too ...dogslife wrote:Mine has worked with at least 5 different EDC15C2 ecu's and so far, I've not found one it doesn't work with. That's why i won't buy any ... all i want to do is to enable cruise control , which i already found a house who programmes it ...steve_earwig wrote:It kind of sounds like we're back to "some PP2k clones work, some don't, but there's no way of telling 'til you've bought it and hooked it up to your motor"
