Cabin light.

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Cabin light.

Post by djtayloe »

I am the happy owner of a 406 (1997) estate (family) with a quick question.

The switch in the door frame which turns the roof light on when the door is opend is defect and i cant seem to work out how to remove it for replacement.
Have removed the black rubber cap and now there is a yellow round piece of plastic.
Seems that this must be removed somehow so that the switch can be pulled through.

Any help?

you can lever them out if you carefull they must push in from the front as they have prongs that locate at the back

Thanks for the reply but i am a bit confused with your reply (wife thinks im allways confused!)
Do have to lever/prise the yellow disc off and then pull the switch through the hole, and if so, can i re-use the plastic disc or can they be bought alone (without the switch) as a spare part.
