Immobiser - BSI and/or Footwell Connection

Post by malcolm »

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. I'm the recent new owner of a 406 Coupe 2.2Hdi which worked for a week but has been off the road for the last 2 weeks with an immobiliser fault.

Started off with the plip not working, and I was unable to turn off the alarm (not recognising the key either). Wipers were going off with the alarm and powersave mode started coming up on the display. Battery replaced without any improvement.

Been checking out those connectors under the driver footwell carpet. Man they were bad. Disconnected them to allow them to dry and that broke a few of the corroded connectors so some wires have fallen out. Have some photos but not enough to be sure of the original locations of the wires.

I've asked someone who breaks cars if he can cut the connectors out of a loom which might give me a chance. If he can't help where can I find wiring information for this model?

Here's a photo of the connectors:

It was them connectors what caused the trouble for any desperate broken 406 fans who come across this thread in the future. Necessary details for a fix might appear here soon: http://www.peugeot406coupe.com/phpBB3/v ... =5&t=39194
