Footwell lighting, (Leds)

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

sorry ive totaly forgot about this thread,
and ihavent got camera as of yet,

this is what ive used or part of it,

ive not used the switch, and ive done away with the cathode bulbs and replaced them with my own bulbs,
all ive done is used the Reducer thingy off it ,
run one neg wire to a bolt behind glove box , and took a + feed off the interior light, hope that makes sense if any,

ive got some Red leds spare and 1 reducer thingy if anyone wants to try it :wink:

Hmm, what about white ? Blue calls too much attention, specially the cops :?

Yeah iagree white looks good in the floorwells,
im using green lights atm,

Dosent matter anyway mate, as long as the blue lights are in the car the rozzers carnt do nothing :wink:

Dont know tbh, its all down to discretion of the cop aspose, if hes got laid the night before he most prob smile at them as he drives by, if he didnt get lucky iguess he will be grumpy and look for someone to shout at and hand out a w**ker ticket ,
iknow the police over here have ago at people for blue lights on front of there cars, thats if they arnt chavs, /boy racers,
they seem to get away with it for somereason,

A white stripe? Sounds like a diode so. A transistor would have three legs. You'd often put a diode in series with something to protect from reverse currents, e.g. so you don't destroy some portable device by putting in the batteries backwards. Not sure what the reasoning is in this case though...
