anyone got a tool to turn off imobiliser on a peugeot 406 2002 2lt hdi
its because i fitted a com 2000 from a c5 and wont start because imobiliser is on now,i am in gateshead,tyne and wear,cash waiting for the right help

I changed the com2000 on my old 2002 hdi and didn't give the car long enough to go to "sleep" and brought up the immobiliser fault when reconnecting the battery,i had to get a local garage to come out with a laptop to reset it,you will also need the 4 digit pin immobiliser code to do it,if your lucky it'll be in the handbook pack on what looks like a credit card if not you'll have to pay to get it from the main dealer or i found a site on the net that gave it to me for a fiver(can't remember where),i just looked up "pin from vin".

I posted my VIN and got my PIN in about 10 minutes. Might suggest signing up and testing the water before you go straight to ask for the PIN.

I did sign up and got the pin for my old Rapier and when i tried to get the pin for my exec (about a year later) some foreign twat kept giving me abuse in broken English about not contributing to the website although i had posted a few posts,i told him to shove it where the sun don't shine and not been on there since.
