AIR BAG Light blinking

Hi guys, today something happened that never happened to my 406 before, When i parked the air bag light started to blink. But after work ( 3,5 hours ) when i turn on the car like normal, the error was gone ...

Don't know why it happened, but here's my guess's ( stupid ones or not ):

When i was about to park i was a bit speedy and i suddenly stopped and turned the wheel to park. ( like a racing man lol ), it was in this time that the air bag light turn on and starts blinking.

So is it because it assumed that i was about to crash or hit something or a bad connection on the steering wheel ?

I hope it's nothing serious, because i have MOT this month

edit: apparently the problem didn't got away, at sometimes the light starts blinking again ..

Maybe bad connection in some of the sensors or what ?

Yes, sometimes it doesn't blinking, sometimes along the trip it does appear ...

iwouid check the wires/plugs under the seat, and seat belt pre-tensioner,
ithink they can be Prone for Bad connetions, at times on Psa cars

I saw that on " autodata " programme and a common problem on all models of 406 is that what you said bad connections on pre tensioner can cause the air bad light to come up .

Anyway, this is going to the mechanic and he will take a look at this and some other stuff ...

You can check them your self, its fairly easy
just make sure key is not in ignition, ign off,

unclip each wire and clip them back in again, seat belt pretensioner has a daft flimsy plug,seems very easily for these to be not secure,

Well, after unplug and plug again the problem went away Didn't blink again so far...
