Problem with AC compressor?

No worries, i had gloves on.
To get proper frost bite try an LPG car that has a faulty filler valve, my hands have stuck to the filler nozzle a few times when putting gas into my dads car.

Anyone knows how many work hours are needed to replace the compressor?

around 30mins, alowing for time taking aux belt off,
its not a big job.
if its a D.i.y job you must have the system emptied first for you own safety,

If it is the compressor that does need changed, is ones in scrapyards any good, or can they be reconditioned. New ones seem a bit pricey.

its not just the frostbite affect to worry about its your lungs too that sh*t is Lethargic you can end up with the worst cough ever or even colapsed lungs.
Seen a few few chaps in the breakers yards ignore how dangeraus it is and they learnt there lesson by it,

They are not much from Ade, around 60£.

you can use used ones, (Bit of a Gamble tho)
but you need to replace the seals with new ones, idont think there expensive tho, (Service Box to confirm,)
