Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

clicking noise

Post by jonesblakey »

i get a clicking noise coming from drivers side.....im assuming the fuse box is located there so my first thought have been a relay but everything seems to be working fine and there is way of knowing when its going to start as its very random...could last 5 seconds or 5 mins and its not triggered by anything thats used....i.e lights or indicators....it could happen in the wet or dry night or day :? ....please any help would be awsome ...i have a D8 family estate

Indicator stalk.
They are packed with grease that dries out over time, once it's tried out they were inside.
You have to be carefull as they can catch fire.

are u sure its from drivers side ? usually on d8's its the air re-circulation flap motor that breaks up and causes clicking ?
