D9 2.0 HDi 110 Cruise Control Activation

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

D9 2.0 HDi 110 Cruise Control Activation

Post by splitpin »

Hi,
is there anyone in the SE London / NW Kent area that would be able to activate the CC on my 1999 'V' 2.0 HDi Exec Estate. All the controls and switches are fitted, just needs the ECU and/or BSI updated.
Cheers,
Graham.

It's highly likely your engine ecu won't support it.

Search for wasp's posts on this, he got his sorted using an ecu, BSI & transponder from an X or Y reg car, IIRC.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Or just Search for my topic ... My estate 2.0 110 needed new ecu that had miscellaneous options(my original ecu didn't had any configurable/miscellaneous options) and cruise stalk and activation on ECU and it's done...

You only need the three if you don't want an eletrician to unlock the ECU and lock it to your car .. that's why everyone recommends buying the whole thing, but it's not necessary ...

I'm guessing you'll want 1938S4, but it is a guess and.......

Reference Description Quantity Price - VAT Price + VAT Total + VAT Selection
00001938S4 INJ CALCULATOR 805.76 GBP 805.76 GBP 966.91 GBP 966.91 GBP 966.91 GBP

you won't want one from Pug, (bear in mind, it still needs configuring to your car).

....which is why I suggested a scrappy.

I've found an ECU at a reasonable price, the codes on it are
0281010361 9641607680 EDC15C2 19 BOSCH
Do you think this will be any good for the Cruise Control?
The one on the car at the moment is a
0281010166 9636255980 EDC15C2 25 BOSCH
Cheers,
Graham.

hehehe, my original was also 0281010166 - so You will not have any configurable options on that ecu ... i was lucky a friend of mine have same car as me, but he's is from august mine is from may, he's ecu was 0281010248 software : ending in 169

After playing a bit with pp2000 on his car, his ecu had configurable options including cruise control.... i was lucky i found one on ebay for a very more reasonable price than the scrappys here(actually most of the stuff i find in ebay is a lot more cheaper than buying from here) ...

So, when it arrived i headed to the garage i went in first place when i had the 166 ecu, and they aren't able to configure it and after they phoned to a peugeot agent, the agent said that some ecu's doesn't have configurable options ...

And it was really true.

So, then they had to unlock the ecu and re code it to my car and enable the cruise control .. and i wasn't that expensive .. actually it was more cheaper than buying the whole stuff, actually it was better, this way the BSI didn't put extra miles to my car...

It was very cheap retro fitting cruise :D.
