Wiper stalk

Hi folks, just a quick question really.
Would a wiper stalk out of an early D9 fit and work ok in a D8?
I need a stalk with the trip computer button but they seem like hens teeth for the D8.

Possibly, as I see Ade1122 sells them on the bay for £20 posted, and doesn't specify whether it's D8 or D9 ( although I know it's slightly different date wise for a coupe before anyone remarks

Plus, in this sellers listing it has compatibility going from 97 to 04, so looks extremely promising
