Has anyone ever tried fitting a instrument with oil-temperatur gauge, to one without ?
Models 2003 and forward have 5 dials in their instrument, mine only has 4. Would really like the last oil-temperatur dial.
Since mine is a 2001 model, would there be any chance that it would work.
If not, isn't the easiest way to install one via. The oil-plug and just wire it from there.

Instrument Panel Change
IIRC: the speedo has a different graduation on 5-clock dashes.
(BVA is French initials for automatic gearbox, BVM is French initials for manual gearbox.)
The other issue is that the new mileages will be messed up, but I can't remember the algorithm, e.g., whether the new dash adds it's exsiting mileage onto the car's mileage or what.

Re: oil temp
thanks! Although It dose not answer my question totally
I have the oil-leven indicator in my instrument, but I want the oil-temperatur gauge.
In regards the milages, it will always display the highest, so since my car has 305.000 miles in the ecu, it will be displayed into the instrument.

Indeed. I'd like an answer toomoblaw wrote:Although It dose not answer my question totally

Maybe the answer is "try it and see"

Re: oil temp
indeed rwb.
that was my next task, but before that I'd still do some research and a headgasket + new head before I adventure out the in my car to the scrapper, to remove and test it before purchase perhaps.
