Right, got a s/hand Navtech 2003 cd for Siemens VDO but it still say`s unreadable on my system.
I have a Siemens drive unit in the boot & the car is 2002, so what now? Is the drive unit u/s?
Can ANYone confirm the correct cd to use?
Mine used to do this when I first had the car, it's the unit. The lens needs cleaning. You'll need to take it out of the boot of the car, remove the top off it and clean the lense with some alchohol and a cotton bud. All in all, about half hour's work. Peugeot will gladly charge you £1100 for a new unit.
2007 Mondeo Titanium X 2.0 TDCi
2007 307cc Sport 2.0 HDi 136
Gone but never forgotten: 2002 406 Coupe SE 2.2 HDi
Got a unit from NCS Peugeot Spares...plugged it in &.....WHAY-HAYYYYYYY
(not even close to a Tomtom though)
It`s a bit hard to read with the lines onthe display.......suppose that`s next to swap.

I'm a new member having sat nav troubble on 1993 406 simens system. The system is very slow to initialise when cloudy and a new aerial is on order, however I also get " cd unreadable" "cd missing" " continuous picture of a disc" and " destination not achievable by road messagesas the thing seems to think I'm in Eire; will a new aerial and a clean of the lens fix these or is the unit broke?
I noticed the same even though its working fine, the sat nav seems to be picking up satellites and has a good signal but the directions and knowledge of the roads are woeful. The 2006 disk was the last update for the sat nav system.
To see the quality of the signal in your own car you can go to the supplier debug menu to get to it press:
- menu
- hold in esc until the menu disappears
- left
- left
- hold in esc until the debug menu appears
then when in the menu select navigation diagnostic to see how many satelites your picking up and what the signal strength is
