Can replacing the 3 coolant hoses in the engine somehow cause low pressure in the aircon gas and therefore cause the aircon to not engage? I had this work done recently and I've noticed that the aircon will now not work (no click from the relay when the button is pressed, no ice cold air). I can't see any blown fuses (although I haven't checked the BSI relay) and on top of it all I have a wet passenger footwell. I pullled out the drain hose so if it's blocked it is a blockage further up the pipe.
**just had a slurp of the liquid in the footwell and it was sickly sweet so I'm thinking this must be left over coolant from the aforementioned leaky hose and hopefully not water from a faulty aircon.
I have a 2.2 petrol 2003 Coupe
Thanks for any help!
Coolant hoses replaced, aircon now dead
