Not Starting

Been having air in the fuel line issues recently which has drained my battery with the constant starting. Went to start it this morning, started to crank over but too flat to start. Any my mate xam by and we attempted to jump start her with some leads. She didnt start, infact she doesnt even turn over. All the dash lights come on, but when the ignition is turned nothing happens not even any clicking. I think i may have blown something or something has tripped out.

Help.

It might be the starter motor sticking, you can prove this by giving it a tap.
I drove mine around for a year with a breaker bar in the boot for tapping it into life before I got fed up & replaced the starter motor!

I thought this too.

I forgot to mention that there appears to be no spark on the battery terminals.

Have you checked the Earth strap?

to rule that out.. (you probably already know this.)
put one end of a jump lead to negative post on battery and the other end to good earthing point on the engine..

failing that,
is your battery Fubard?

Give the starter a belt, you've got just the same symptoms as mine had.

f12 and f13 in the engine bay fuse box refer to ign.

might be worth checking those.

Does it have a safety cut out switch thing? (On the suspension top nearest the battery)

Edit: Nah, scratch that, I realised it wouldn't stop it cranking. Never overlook modern batteries ability to drop dead without any warning

Can't fibd a cut off switch. I will go hit the starter motor and check some fuses.
